The Summit Soccer Club is pleased to offer the U5 & U6 PreAcademy (birth years 2013 & 2014) program for Fall 2018
Who: This program is open to all children born in 2013 and 2014 in Summit. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
What: U5/U6 PreAcademy is an enjoyable, non-competitive program designed to help our youngest soccer players begin to develop a love for the game and basic soccer skills by participating in fun-filled, age appropriate training. All U5/U6 PreAcademy sessions are co-ed. Professional trainers from United Soccer Academy will run and supervise the training sessions.
PreAcademy Registration will open on Friday, June 15th!
Summit Soccer Club is happy to announce our new U7 and U8 academy program which will be led by Summit Soccer Club’s Directors of Coaching, Darren Shimwell (Boys) and David Stapleton (Girls). The program will be coached by the club's current travel team head coaches who have many years experience coaching players here in Summit and are familiar faces in the community. The aim of the U7 and U8 academy is to create a positive, fun environment for our young players to develop skills, core values and a love for the game. It is our goal to inspire our players to take the next step into the travel soccer program at U9 level with an understanding of the club's operations, playing style and player development philosophy. Soccer is the fastest growing sport in the United States and Summit Soccer Club is place to offer a professional level soccer experience this fall!
For any questions on our program please reach out to Dave Stapleton and Darren Shimwell directly
**A $25 late fee will be charged for all registrations after August 19th. This is simply to help us to make sure we have proper staffing for the camp
Location: Glenside Field
Summit Soccer Club encourages players to participate in a Pre-Season Team Preparation Camp, designed to prepare the players and the team for the upcoming fall season.
The Pre-Season camp is designed to give teams a head start and hit the ground running for the opening week of games. Players will be challenged technically, tactically, physically and psychosocially through Game Realistic Situations where players have to make hundreds of actions, receive hundreds of touches of the ball and have to make thousands of decisions. Players will also work on speed, agility, balance and coordination.
Players will be placed together with their teammates. Lead by SSC Directors of Coaching, Darren Shimwell and Dave Stapleton, the trainers running the camp will be the same trainers working together with our club.
Thank you for registering for Summit Soccer Club for the 2018-2019 Season. The way travel soccer works is that we need to order player cards from New Jersey Youth Soccer (NJYS). In order to do this we need you also to register on "Bonzi" which is a one time registration process.
Similar to League Atheltics you will still need the photo and either copy of Birth Certificate/Passport to complete the registration.
Currently, the access is through a portal linked to MCYSA's website; so you will see the MCYSA banner at the top of the initial page.
There are basically four steps to complete your part of the process as the parent of a player:
1. You will need to create a new Bonzi account as the first step.
2. Follow the system prompts to enter the required information for your player. It will include contact info for the player and at least one parent or guardian, birth date, and health insurance info (the type of info that was on the player registration form and the medical release form in the past).
3. You will have the option to register another player if need be.
4. Once you have confirmed registration information for your player(s), you can return to your Member Account to complete the remaining two steps.
5. You will need to upload a proof of birth document for your player(s). . . typically a clear copy of a birth certificate or passport. A clear jpeg picture of the document will work. (You can take a photograph of the birth certificate
6. You will need to upload a photo for your player(s).
Summit Soccer Club is pleased to offer a Summer Soccer Series hosted by Directors of Coaching, Darren Shimwell and David Stapleton for those looking to take their game to the next level.
Training Sessions will be based on Small Sided games which are great for developing tactical understanding, decision making and skill execution. Players will also fine tune their speed, agility, balance and coordination as well as their ball mastery, passing, receiving, shooting and finishing skills.
Cost: $60 per player.
6 Week Program beginning the week of June 18th
**We need a minimum of 10 players/age group to register to run this program.
